The Boo Charity Annual Golf Day teed off in style on the prestigious Ferndown Golf Course last month. Recognised as the South West’s premier 27-hole Heathland Golf Course, it has hosted infamous tournaments over the years, including The Hennessy Cognac Cup and the British Ladies Open, and can now add The First Boo Charity Golf Day to this impressive list!

The 17 teams were putting in the footsteps of golfing superstars (Faldo, Langer and Norman to name but a few) as they took to the green for a day of fundraising. Well fuelled by their welcome breakfast, the teams put on an impressive show and rose majestically to the challenges of the golf course.

The ‘Britannia Parking’ team perfected their swing by the last hole, seeing them walk away with the winner’s trophy and Boo embossed glasses. Not to be outdone, one fellow player struck lucky with a wheelbarrow full of goodies from the raffle!

Russell Hicks, founder of Boo, is delighted with the success of the day:

‘We all had a brilliant time and are very grateful to Ferndown Golf Club for hosting our first Boo Charity Golf Day. I’m excited to announce that the golf day, including the raffle, raised a staggering £7500! 100% of which will fund our supported projects, changing so many lives that are disadvantaged through economic poverty. Thank you to everyone involved for your support!’
