Fund A Food Parcel
COVID-19 has turned so many lives upside down and we realise that this is an uncertain and worrying time people have lost their routines, some their steady income, and all are confined to their homes away from friends and family. But it has got us thinking how lucky we are to have the systems and services that we have here in the UK, with a government which is going above and beyond to protect jobs, income and well being. Many other countries are not so lucky.
Children in Kenya were in crisis before COVID-19 and have now lost their vital lifeline of food security. A large part of our work, in addition to educational resource, involves food provision for the children in the schools we support. With all Kenyan schools now shut, many children are missing out on the meals provided for them as part of the school day. The vast majority of the children we support rely solely on these school meals. This puts even more pressure on their parents who are already struggling to feed their families each day.
Please help us to help those less fortunate than us by proving this basic human right of food. Please save lives by funding a food parcel for a child and/or their family, and spare further victims of this horrible disease.
Just £4 will feed one child for a month and £20 will feed a family for a month. You can choose to make a one-off payment or recurring, whatever you can give is greatly appreciated.
We are appealing to anyone fortunate enough to have financial security and the desire to help others less fortunate. Our lives have been changed but we still have access to food, a roof over our heads, and the ability to connect with those we love. We have much to be thankful for and we must think of those who need our support now more than ever.
If you aren’t in a position to donate but would like to help, we would be grateful if you can share this page on your social media accounts to help us raise awareness of our cause.
The Boo Charity
The Boo organization has already made a huge impact on the lives of children in Kenya. However still over 2 million children go without food, clean water and most importantly education every day. Many have no parents due to the plight of AIDS and many die through neglect.
